Petrol price

Yesterday, I bought petrol for the equivalent of $5.55 / gal.  Eeek.

from Sydney Morning Herald...
"The NRMA said petrol prices had risen between 15 and 20 cents a litre last Thursday, reaching an average of about $1.50 per litre."

That's equivalent to a rise of 60 to 80 cents a gallon in a single day!

I have been able to switch driving to the left side of the road and riding my bike on the left side of the path without any problems.  Crossing streets however, I cannot remember to look right first.  Or remember to stick to the left side when meeting people walking towards me.  It's weird that some changes are so easy and others so hard.

While I could be riding my bicycle back and forth to where I'm staying, I've chosen to walk most every day.  That's so I can smell the eucalyptus and watch the cockatoos and parrots.
